Overnight Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

Any fruit can be used if you're not an apple cinnamon type of person. Strawberries & Bananas is also delicious. Must have: Crock-pot


  • Unsalted butter
  • 8 1/2 cups water
  • 2 cups steel-cut oats
  • 1 (14-ounce) can unsweetened coconut milk or 1 3/4 cups whole milk or I used 1 3/4 heavy Whipping Cream !
  • 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (Optional)
  • 2 Green Apples (Skinned and diced)
  • 1-2 Tablespoons of Cinnamon
  1. Skin Apples, dice and mix with cinnamon in a bowl.
  2. Coat the insert of the slow cooker with a thin layer of butter or cooking spray. Add the water, oats, milk or cream, brown sugar, and salt, cinnamon coated apples and stir to combine.
  3. Cover and cook on low until the oats are cooked through and creamy, about 7 to 8 hours.
Just before Serving
  1. In the morning, stir well.
  2. Stir in the vanilla (Optional) and serve immediately.
  3. Sprinkle optional granola, some agave, & Milk (Or Soy)
