Any fruit can be used if you're not an apple cinnamon type of person. Strawberries & Bananas is also delicious. Must have: Crock-pot
Ingredients
- Unsalted butter
 - 8 1/2 cups water
 - 2 cups steel-cut oats
 - 1 (14-ounce) can unsweetened coconut milk or 1 3/4 cups whole milk or I used 1 3/4 heavy Whipping Cream !
 - 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
 - 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (Optional)
 - 2 Green Apples (Skinned and diced)
 - 1-2 Tablespoons of Cinnamon
 
Instructions
- Skin Apples, dice and mix with cinnamon in a bowl.
 - Coat the insert of the slow cooker with a thin layer of butter or cooking spray. Add the water, oats, milk or cream, brown sugar, and salt, cinnamon coated apples and stir to combine.
 - Cover and cook on low until the oats are cooked through and creamy, about 7 to 8 hours.
 
Just before Serving
- In the morning, stir well.
 - Stir in the vanilla (Optional) and serve immediately.
 - Sprinkle optional granola, some agave, & Milk (Or Soy)
